Breaking the Code: An Escape Room Challenge for School and Public Library Collaborations
Wednesday, March 21, 2018, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Pennsylvania Convention Center, 202 AB
Your challenge is to escape dead-end partnerships. Using deadpan library humor, this preconference will turn participants into players working together to solve the mystery of successful collaborative impact models. As you scavenge for resources, unlock data sharing agreements, cipher shared collections, and decode collaborative impact models, the nature of how these collaborations work will be demystified.
At the end of this session, participants will:
1: Evaluate a variety of library and school partnership models, and identify elements that that can be replicated in their home library systems 2: Analyze strategies for developing collections that support partnership programs in order to determine best practices 3: Determine whether curriculum mapping, formal partnership agreements, deposit collections, and/or popup libraries are a good fit for their community
The session organizer(s) identified this session as appropriate for:
Level 2: People with some knowledge, who want to increase their understanding.
