Project Outcome Training Workshop: Tools for Measuring Patron Outcomes

At this FREE full-day workshop, a trainer will facilitate the planning process for implementing outcome measurement using Project Outcome tools. Participants will learn how to deploy the Project Outcome standardized surveys in their library, collect and use resulting data, and leverage the project’s support network to ensure successful adoption. Join a cohort of public libraries interested in implementing Project Outcome to drive change, influence decision making, and demonstrate the impact of their programs and services.
At the end of this session, participants will:
1: Understand what Project Outcome measures and how to use the online toolkit 2: Be ready to meet their identified outcome measurement goals that align with their library's strategic plans and community needs 3: Be able to implement best practices for using outcome data for programmatic changes, decision-making processes, and advocacy

Crystal Schimpf is a librarian, trainer, and consultant. As founder of Kixal, she provides innovative, transformative training for libraries on a variety of topics. She has facilitated online and in-person training for Project Outcome since 2015. She has also provided training on projects for the Urban Libraries Council's Edge Initiative, the International City/County Management Association's performance measurement project ICMA Insights, TechSoup's monthly webinar series for libraries, Infopeople's Building an Effective Learning Culture project, and more.
Amy Koester, Youth & Family Program Supervisor

Amy Koester is the Youth & Family Program Supervisor at Skokie Public Library, where she oversees all aspects of youth programming and outcomes measurement. She also spends a portion of her time working on the library's civic engagement initiatives. Amy is a board member for the Association for Library Service to Children as well as a member of the advisory council for the Our Voices Chicago initiative.
Julianne Rist, Director of Public Services

Julianne Rist is the Director of Public Services for Jefferson County Public Library. She has presented at state conferences and is a member of the American Library Association and Public Library Association. She is an ALA/APA Certified Public Library Administrator Program. Julianne received her Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida in Tampa and has Bachelors of Arts in English and Dramatic Arts from Centre College in Danville KY.
Christa Werle, Public Services Project Manager

Christa Werle has served public libraries in public service, technical, communications, and supervisory positions during her 20-year career as a librarian. As Public Services Project Manager, Christa brings idea management, project management, change management and outcomes-based evaluation to programs & services for residents of Snohomish and Island Counties through 23 community libraries, online & outreach services. As a mother of 9 and 11-year-old girls, she learns how to accept and facilitate change every day.
